With all the news that Facebook had been taking up this entire week, no one even imagined that on the heels of the second largest IPO in history, the CEO would get married… Following his company’s $104 bn IPO on Nasdaq stock exchange on Friday, Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg tied a knot with his long time girl friend Priscilla Chan on Saturday. Zuckerberg and Chan met at Harvard and had dated for nine years before tying the knot. The pair met at a party put on by Zuckerberg’s fraternity in 2003. The 28-year-old billionaires wedding took place in a private ceremony in the backyard of the couple’s home in Palo Alto, Calif. A little less than 100 people attended the wedding. The wedding came as a big surprise to the guests, as they all thought that they were there to celebrate Priscilla Chan’s graduation from medical school

As per reports, Zuckerberg himself designed a graceful simple ruby wedding ring and made sure his life’s love Pricilla Chan had not seen it before the ceremony. The wedding feast came from the couple’s favorite Palo Alto restaurants, Palo Alto Sol and Fuki Sushi, and for desert they had Burdick Chocolate “mice,” which Chan and Zuckerberg had on their first date.

It is even said that Dr.Chan’s experiences from her medical school inspired a new initiative on Facebook to foster organ donations. It is now reported that the Facebook founder’s wealth has soared to $19 billion when he took his company public on Friday.
